THE NSW Touch Association State of Origin teams had final training sessions at Dalton Park on the weekend as they put the finishing touches on their preparation for the big event in Queensland this weekend.

The state women's 20s team, coached by Wollongong Touch's Mick McCall, includes six Wollongong players - Amy Regal, Amanda Skwarko, Jessica Moore, Ashley Dobbins, Stephanie Jackson and Jessica McCall.

Dobbins and Skwarko are backing up from last year while Jess McCall, Moore, Regal and Jackson are making their debuts for NSW.

Wollongong Touch spokeswoman Natalie Rixon said the Origin competition against Queensland would be the next step for the six women chosen from Wollongong after winning successive regional, country and state titles.

The competition is an interstate series against Queensland, consisting of the best of three games played alternatively in NSW and Queensland on a two year rotation basis.

Depending on how they perform, players have a chance to be added to Australian squads.

NSW are the holders of the Origin trophy.
